I play PC games. Console games generally do not interest me. I tried this on a whim and WOW! it is actually fun. Interesting. challenging. Amazing! A must own for the PSP.
I have never played any game in the God of War series before Chains of Olympus and let me tell you, I am hooked! Before I get to how great this game is I will briefly state its one flaw. As many other reviewers have stated, the game is far too short. I beat the game in under 3 days probably in about 8 hours of game play. The reason this is a flaw is because the game is so good that you don't want to ever stop playing!! The controls are responsive and easy to understand. The graphics - simply the best I have seen as of yet on PSP (I am about to buy Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines which, I have been told, also has amazing graphics). The camera angles in God of War are smart and travel well through each scene. I did not find any glitches in the angles or the game itself. Also the soundtrack is excellent. The music can get your heart racing and peaks at the appropriate times. As for the gameplay, it is pure fun from beginning to end. The creators do a great job of mixing fighting with puzzles that are not overly complicated but require some thought. I did not find the puzzles to slow down gameplay too much, just enough in my opinion. If you are a PSP owner, you need this game. It may be a quick play but you'll enjoy every minute of it. Absolutely worth the $15 pricetag on Amazon. The game is so good that I am seriously considering getting a PS3 when God of War III comes out later this year! Buy it and you won't be sorry. best game on psp i've ever played
I've never played GOW or GOW2 before so I'm a newbie to this game. Due to the high ratings people gave I decided to give it a try. It's the best game I've ever played on psp. If you own a psp and you're old enough to play this game, you need to play it, otherwise you don't know what you've missed. The graphic's amazing. The game control is the best I've experienced on psp. The game designer made so many different combos for attacks and magic with the available keys on psp. There are four different difficulty levels so it will be fun and challenging for everyone. And you will also learn some neat stuff from Greek mythology. In conclusion, this is an epic game.
