Good for 8mos.
The battery only lasted 8 months. I let the charge run down and then recharged. After 8 months of moderate use the battery status went from Good to Fair. I expected this battery to last two years. Decent value, but clumsy.

Very good Battery Life
I recently purchased the 12 cell extended life battery And It is at is promises. This battery last so much longer than my six cell battery. I can use it for a good while on and off for two full days on maximum power saving and it runs very smooth. I like that The battery protrudes out because it allows for better ventilation. If you are wondering whether to get this battery..just spend the money it is WELL WORTH IT. Second Battery
This is my second replacement battery. Battery life is Ok, not great. I get about 3 hours out of the battery in normal use: internet, spreadsheets, emails, etc. My first replacement battery died after about 9 months. Much too soon in my opinion. best investment i've made for my laptop
