Good price on a needed item I shopped around and this was the best deal I found on an authentic Apple MacBook battery. It's a real Apple product. I thought it was worth paying extra to have it shipped quickly but even with that extra cost it was still a little cheaper than buying a new battery at the Apple store. Rating: 5 (E. Don't waste your time, just buy it from apple I bought this replacement battery in Feb 2009; its now Jan 2010 and, a year on, it only works when I have the power cord plugged in, effectively turning my MacBook into a desktop. If I unplug the power cord, the battery will only work for 5-10 minutes and then my computer will simply shut off (without displaying the warning in OSX). I have a two other batteries purchased from the Apple store itself, and after 2 years they still work fine. Bottomline: just break down and spend the extra $50 for a battery from Apple. Works as designed It's Apple battery. It's expensive. But it keeps your MacBook running, it fits properly, and doesn't blow up when charging. Its all that I require of the battery. Make sure you buy from Amazon as an actual seller. It seems all the people who left low scores got a cheap knock off version from 3rd party sellers. Otherwise there is not much to review, it's the same one that came with your laptop. I just wish my original battery didn't die after only 2 years of light use.
