New favorite game of all time This game blew me away. I've never owned another Bioware game except for KOTOR, and I didn't really play it much as I was never a huge Star Wars fan. On top of that, I'm generally not big into RPG's either, although I do enjoy fantasy settings like Lord of the Rings etc, and I had played WoW and EQ. So I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this since it really wasn't my style of game, but after seeing such positive reviews about it's story, I had to. I played through on the casual difficulty setting, because I wasn't interested in constant pausing and micro managing my parties tactics. I just wanted to enjoy the story, and enjoy it I did. I have NEVER played a game that made me care so much about the characters involved. All of your potential party members have great back story and unique personalities that will appeal to certain gamers. Listening to party members bicker, share thoughts and humor really brings life to the game. There actually were moments that made me snicker or crack a smile, something I can't say of any other game that I can remember. The story itself is amazing. I've seen some people say that there are a lot of stereotypical fantasy settings here, which may be true, but it's rare and it's so well done that you won't care. There are plenty of twists throughout, some you literally will never see coming, and you'll be thinking about decisions you've made long after you turn your PS3 off, because you care so much about everyone involved. The "Adult/Dark Fantasy" setting works wonders for the game. Death, war, political, social and sexual tie ins give this game a feel that I haven't came across yet (it doesn't deal with these issues in a childish, over the top GTA way). To close out, if you are on the fence at all, buy this game. The graphics are a tad dated, but hardly as bad as some reviewers say, and the controls on the console are a bit clunky at first (as with any PC port), but they become second nature. Great game I LOVED this game. It's fun and has a good story. I'm not saying the story is insanely groundbreaking but it is pretty good. I really liked my supporting characters and cared about them enough to do their related quests to learn more about them. The only reason I can't rate the game a 5 star overall is it has a couple pretty bad frame rate areas that you can't really ignore. I know a lot of people care about that so it gets a 4 overall. It has been a long time since I have cared when I finished a game. I liked how this game ended but was sad the story was over. This is a definite must buy for gamers. Great game! this is another great game from bio ware. The story is good, and the combat is satisfying. This game is not for kids and my only real complaint is a few bugs hear and there and way too many stun attacks but other than that a game worth buying. Rating: 5 (Brian A.
