Nokia 7510 Phone (T-Mobile) customer reviews:
Love it
So I'm the type of person who really takes care before making a purchase such as a cell phone because I intend to own it until it is no longer workable. However, I bought this phone back in November on a bit of a whim because my old cell phone (which endured for more than three years) had finally broken to the point of no return. And I love it. It's modern, easy to use, five-fave compatible, and offers a lot more space for storing pictures and music than my previous phone. The camera takes nice pictures, the sound is good if you're looking to hear a little music and your ipod is dead, and there are really cool pre-set themes you can choose from. My only contention is that the flip action isn't especially smooth. But I'm used to the slider phone I had for three years before this. Happy cell phone hunting! Easily Cracked Screen
Got this phone through our cell phone provider, and the screen has a noticeable crack in it now, only 2 months young. We were told that this is sturdy but can't figure out how the inner screen cracked although the outer plastic didn't---and it wasn't dropped either. Not made as well as older Nokia phone models---seems to have cheaper plastic---very disappointed. We would NOT RECOMMEND this phone due to its lack of quality materials. Nice phone...for as long as it works!
The elegant design, metallic case, quality display, overall operability of the phone's standard communications and convenience features, and even an amazingly clear built-in speaker, should please any user not inclined toward heavy text-messaging or web-surfing. And all of this pleased me until my phone stopped working after 2 months. (Instead of starting up, it just began flashing a white screen for a few seconds.) Got a replacement, and 2 months later, that phone died an identical death. Ordered a new replacement, as this was mandatory given my mobile service agreement, and in 2 more months, I'll get back with you... 3.5 stars
I gave this 3.5 stars because changing the phone covers can be a drag! I had to go to T-Mobile foe help. I don't any longer have problems with the back cover, but had the toughest time being ginger with the front cover in order to not break the top part of the phone. Then, when trying to put on a new cover, it would not go on all the way, so have to tape it a bit to keep it down. Then, one of the "tooth" on the front cover broke. So, I just been not having a front cover on my phone for a couple months now. I have been having this phone since March '09. Also, sometimes the video clips are not the greatest. It does not come out too hot as far as the graphics go. But sometimes it comes out not too bad. And you only get 53 seconds worth of recording time. Now, on to the good points. I don't use Wi-Fi, so I have no opinion either way. As for the camera part, it's not too bad. For the most part it is sweet. You don't have to stop at color photos. But you can use sepia, grayscale ( B&W), false colors, solarized, and negatives. It comes with 3 flash options, or simply don't use the flash. Depends on where you are at, sometimes it can take awesome after dark photos, even in grayscale. Say, if you are around some kind of street light, or the right kind of light coming from buildings, or something. It will make you ditch your film camera, and it does come with zooming, so, unlike regular film cameras, you don't have to get closer or farther necessary. You can zoom in or zoom out. But the zoom is not an option if you choose to take a "standard photo". And you can PRINT the photos like you would any digital camera. To those who are NEW to digital cameras ( and I was when I got this phone), do beware it take so many seconds to minutes before you see how accuarate the photo came out. It will look grainy at first...And also know that the picture WILL shift some as it is saving....You will LOOOOVE the viewfinder, but do know taking photos out on a sunny day can be rather difficult because it's hard to see in the viewfinder in the sunshine, and my eyes are pretty good vision wise. There is an option to rotate the photos. The radio is awesome for the FM ( but, shoot, AM is not best of quality regardless of where you at and even at an in-home big stereo...) but you NEED headphones for the phone because the wires act as an atennae. And simply won't play without one. But the phone DOES come with headphones, so that's cool. It comes with more than one profiles for if you want to set the ringer to OUTDOOR, NORMAL, SILENT, and also has a setting for if you are on flight. The COOLEST thing to me about selecting a ringtone is that one of the alert tones is a doorbell! It does come with stopwatch if you desire that feature. It also comes with sending post cards, but you can only send post cards to those whose phones can receive them. I have not tried to send one, so I don't know how that feature works out as to what it looks like when you send them and stuff. The voice recorder is awesome! You get two hours worth of recording time per clip, but you may not want to use that much time without making sure you got enough memory. Oh, a word of knowledge: If you get this phone, and it blanks out on you, chances are it means your memory card is too full, and to delete or get a new one. Sorry if I wrote too much, but want to do my share of informing here for those who like a thorough review before getting something, if they want a detailed reason on why something is good or not. Thank you to those who read this! :) Rating: (Rainbow, 2009-08-16) Product reviewed: Nokia 7510 Phone (T-Mobile)
Okay phone, but dust got under the screen
I got this phone to replace an old one after trying many other phones whose battery life wasn't what I expected. I like the phone except that it has dust under the screen. Can't really see much of the screen out of doors or in the sunlight because of the dust. Called T-mobile who won't replace it because it's out of their 30 day warranty and Nokia told me to go to T-mobile. The phone is only 4 months old, so I'm not real happy. Probably wouldn't purchase another Nokia. Rating: (John's Girl, 2009-08-13) Product reviewed: Nokia 7510 Phone (T-Mobile)
