behold its crap i have this phone for about a year now. i was kinda skeptable about this phone. i have owned motorolas in the past and all the previous samsung i have owned before sucked i should of known better. well first thing i last all of my contacts from my phone book, the phones wap broser sucks soo much. oh and anything that you watch on youtube make sure you have a magnifine glass the videos come in a very tiny box, but there is a button by the video that gives you a blown up grainy video and every few seconds it stops and buffers for awhile. now that widget bar is a waste its good for certain things but overall it sucks. the onscreen keyboard unless if you finger are the size of toothpicks then when you type it?looks?like?this, and forget about clicking on those spaces to delete those question marks its not worth the time. now i have notice with my behold i have this very anoying quirk with my phone. when you have a missed call or a text msg there will a box its kinda like a dialog box almost. it has three tabs one is missed calls, the other is text msg, the last voice mails on the bottom of this box theres two buttons. one says check, the other says exit. usually when you have a missed call or a text msg and you want to check it later. you would click exit then you have a reminder icon. well you dont get that option with the behold. any msg you want to check later the phone will ring every three minutes until you check your msgs, with this phone exit does not mean exit. there is no option in the menu to turn this reminder off. and the only thing that i like about this phone is the mp3 player. and there is an option on this phone where you can have you mp3 track as your ringer. been stuck with the same ringer since i had the phone. that option never works. and the battery life sucks on the web, for talk time its ok. i would say this phone sucks and its not worth it the pros mp3 player the cons the whole phone Rating: 1 (Peter M. needed replaced phone in 6 months, still a piece of yuck i loved this phone when i got it. paid 400 cash so i wouldn't be stuck with a two year contract with t-mobile. by about four months i had to exchange it for a replacement. it kept "authenticating" forever. i spend as much time on other phones talking to tech support trying to fix it with t-mobile, as i did on this phone! i was in the dfw area, but t-mobile wouldn't let me go into a store and do a swap - i had to pay for shipping to have a REFURBISHED phone shipped to me! so this one i've had about four months, and ready to trash it, too. some things i have problems with: ... scrolling lists is frustrating. hard to explain, but highly annoying. every time you use a list. ... today the camera button and other buttons froze up, and wouldn't work. took a while for it to turn off to restart. ... for some reason songs are only 3 minutes long. ... i thot web and telnav (gps) were fast until i saw my honey's iphone. it takes mine a minute to locate a place or phone number, his takes 15 seconds. ... for some reason it lost half my contacts. no t-mobile personnel nor phone help could figure it out. ... t-mobile phone techs can do only so much. and they never call back like they saythey will, to see if the phone is working. ... my faves offers LIST or the circle, but on both phones, it only did circles. ... i've spent so many hours on the phone trying to reset it, always have to do master resets, i could have a week of free time. ... if you change the widgets, you have to reset the positions of them all. ... my el cheapo v360, which i've owned about ten years, has proven better quality than this expensive hunk of junk. ... loved tetris on my old v360, but on this phone, it's like slow motion. there's no challenge. ... for some reason, i can't delete songs on it on it tonight. first it worked, and now it doesn't. ... my faves - it's always saying i have to go to tmobile webpage to delete icons, and i've spent hours trying to do that, have deleted them from the phone, and so i can't change icons for my faves. ... t-mobile service is el yucko, but probably cell phone companies in general have poor tech support. sometimes they'll answer the phone quickly, do all the trouble-shooting well, but they never fix the problem. ... for some reason, the alarms will reset to no volume. so every time i touch an alarm, i have to go thru the cycle to make sure the volume is up high. ... it's always updating time, even after changing settings. i thot it was because i was in arizona with weird time zones, but it's done it all over the usa. ... said mexico time, just over the border, was free. nope! find out the hard way with 30 dollars added onto the phone bill. ... i usually just go to radioshack for help, oftentimes the geeks there can fix a problem in 5 minutes that super tech support peoples never could fix. ... you have to pay extra for a jack to hook music part of phone to speakers. ... has unique plug-ins, which can only be ordered from samsung. ... almost every feature has some quirk, but you have to accept them or be really unhappy. +++ great camera! fun to use, easy to use, great! +++ love the red case i got for it. +++ enjoy the music portion +++ i like the three buttons on the bottom. easy to use most features with just them. +++ lighter than the iphone, a bit smaller, too, but i'm getting an iphone. they are fast and have unique features. i could add more, but i'm saying, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! two of them haven't worked well for even 6 months. Better phones out there for the same price. I got this phone a year ago when it had just come out. It's a decent phone, looks nice, but I feel that there are too many problems with it in order for me to be able to recommend it to anyone. I've exchanged the phone twice now through T-Mobile and their one year warranty. The first time the lock button wasn't functioning correctly and the phone was unlocking itself through the red button instead of the unlock button... Not a serious problem but irritating none the less. The second time around a line of pixels died. This was an serious problem but both times I had no problem getting a new phone by going to the T-Mobile store and speaking with them. I've also notice a problem (with all the Behold phones I've had) that at certain times my text won't send even if I have full service so I'm forced to restart the phone which is a pain considering messages take minutes to "initialize." Another problem is the lack of Wifi, honestly for such a phone this really is a problem and because of this other phones of its caliber are a much better bet. Text messages take way too long to initialize and every time any sort of change is made to the phonebook it has to resynch which can take a while and you can't use the phonebook while its doing that. Overall, this phone is nothing enthralling. The apps are lacking and the features are average and there are too many fundamental problems to overlook. I would advise against this phone as there are better deals out there for much better touch phones. Rating: 3 (S. Just OK phone I bought this phone for my wife. The phone itself is OK, nice looks, feels sturdy/solid, and responsive touch screen. The features of the camera is great! it has panoramic shot that I really love to use. however, the picture quality is not that good even though it's a 5MP camera. But nevertheless, I enjoyed using the camera. I only gave 4 stars because the functions in the fone are too limited, and there are no downloadable apps that you can readily install and use. THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE Samsung Behold is definitely one of the Good Things In Life. Excellent size, feel, sound! LOVE THE TOUCHSCREEN. Becoming accustomed to the touchscreen is quick and easy! You'll wonder why they didn't invent this sooner. Silicone casing and screen protector (extras) are absolute necessity if you are carrying the phone with you at all times. CAMERA is AWESOME! With 5.0 megapixels you can't miss. Download is a bit tricky - had to Google information - Manual did not give enough info. The side charging proponent is a bit tricky - small and inconvenient. Bottom charging with a "charging station" would make this a 100% deal. Overall the phone is a 98% slamdunk! Rating: 5 (S.
