SAVE $9.33 - Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses $10.65

Not if you want to sleep at night.... I purchased this movie for my little 6 year old and she had nightmares for a long time after. The premise of this movie is that the princesses have to escape the cruelty of their soon to be step mother and go to a magical land where they are free to dance all night. This movie is especially disheartening and scary to children who have a sick parent as the father is in this movie. The evil mother attempts to poison the father so she can gain control of the kingdom. This does not sound like something a 5-9 year old should be watching. I have since tapped into the Holly Hobbie dvd's and my 8 year old loves them and I love the solid family values and great role model that Holly is. The "Holly Hobbie and Friends: Christmas Wishes" is a must have for every little girl. Hope this helps - good luck! Rating: 1 (C. Perfect for my four year old daughter! I bought this for my daughter for her fourth birthday after we had rented it at Blockbuster and she loved it. I thought it was beautifully done, and I love the way Barbie always does what is right, has a sweet demeanor, is thoughtful, kind, and giving and has a good attitude...all things I want my daughter to be when she grows up. Amazing Movie This is my 2.5 year old toddler's personal favorite of all her Barbie movie collection....She would watch this over and over....great babysitter! And she would twirl and try to lift her foot up high as if she is doing the nicely executed ballet dance that the 12 princesses does in the movie...I like how safe I feel when she is watching Mattel's movie, princesses were gracious and they react accordingly not violently....
