For Second Childhood
I bought this for my wife who is severely hearing-impaired. We use the "magic tablet" for communicating -- writing short messages and passing it back and forth. We find the device to be well designed and ruggedly built. It serves the purpose for which we purchased it -- and it is far more durable than the non-magnetic magic slates we used as children. Not the best magna doodle
This isn't the best one out there. It doesn't come with the magnetic shapes that I've seen others come with. These not only add to the fun but are easier for younger kids to use then the pen. Also, perhaps it was just mine but there it a small section that doesn't seem to work (no magnetic particles stick to it) and a few places where the magnetic particles don't get erased. Very Pleased
I bought this for my 20 month old daughter for Christmas. I wish I had bought 2 because both of my daughters love it and it entertains them for a long time. I had been buying the little cheap ones, so I was very happy with how durable this one is. My children both stand on it and have thrown it across the room and otherwise abuse it.
