Works Perfectly
I received my Good Grips Paper-Towel Holder about two weeks ago. Initially, I noticed the improved appearance from my old marble holder. I was quite tired of searching for the end of the roll and using having to use both hands. They were usually covered with unspeakable kitchen muck and I was sure I'd have holder and all fall into the sink or floor. Enter the Oxo Good Grips...Hooray! I can quickly get my paper towel using one hand and not worry about logistics. I pull, it tears off and doesn't teeter from it's firm base. The gripping arm has adjusted fine through the first two rolls (both large sized). I'm pleased - it works as advertised and looks classy. I couldn't ask for more. Rating: (L. A piece of junk
Like someone mentioned, if the roll of paper towel is too big, it won't snap back correctly. I put a brand new roll in it and apparently it is too big. Soooo....i have to make the paper towel a smaller roll in order to use this towel holder? I don't think so. I am returning it. ( I bought my paper towel from Sam's in bulk, maybe it is bigger size? ) Also, the brushed stainless steel easily catch finger print and i hated it. Rating: (V. I love my paper towel holder!
I was looking for something that was sturdy but would go with the stainless appliances I had just purchased. This did the trick! It doesn't tip and allows me to tear off one paper towel at a time. Perfect towel holder
I never thought there would be a day where a towel holder would make such a difference in my life. Alas, that day has come (I don't know what that says about my personal life, but meh). I might be a bit biased because my previous towel holder was mounted on an outta-my-arm-range wall, was crooked, and was falling apart - but that doesn't change the fact that this towel holder performs marvelously. I can easily one hand tear the sheets off and if it ever does get out of alignment (which isn't common), the fix is simply turning the roll a few inches. It's not a pain because I do it second nature. It looks great on the counter top and meets all of my expectations.
