Eventually it will fail I've been using this cable for a few months. I haven't moved it excessively or anything and today it decided to stop working. Now have to hook up firewire 400 to my laptop, capture footage to a drive, then hook the drive up to my MacPro. great the cable came quicker than expected. works just fine transferring video to my macbook pro. not that it matters, but the only thing is that i received a black cable, not the transparent one as advertised in the image above. im not a person to criticize over something like that, and the cheap price and workable length make this a great buy.
