Captain Phil: Captain Phil you will be missed. I found out about you when I got out of the hospital myself having a mechanical valve put into my heart. I died twice on the table and almost in the I.C.U. I would have left behind three daughters and fifteen grandchildren. The good Lord will watch over your two sons as will America. I would have gladly changed places with you if I could have but it is not up to us but the good lord when and where we go. I will always say a prayer for you and your family as we both valued our families more over everything else. God bless you Captain Phil and I hope to meet you in person when I arrive in heaven. Jump the Shark? I have always liked deadliest catch, but this season I have really noticed how overproduced it has become. Which for me really takes away the raw feel that the show had before which i believe quite suited it. But, its just how things work even if something is sucessful people feel the need to keep changing it until it is no longer what it origionally was. True Reality T.V!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate reality T.V but The Deadliest Catch is AWESOME!!!! I am so glad my husband made me watch it, I was hooked from the get go! Capts. Phil, Sig and Johnathan are my fave's, And losing Capt. Phil this season was heartbreaking, he will be sorely missed, but watching Josh step up to bat and take charge, Phil would be so proud, and watching Phil's final day's with Josh and Jake was heartwrenching and touching! Phil can rest in peace knowing that Josh and Jake will carry on the Harris family tradtion and that Capts. Sig and Johnathan will be watching over them and helping out when need be!!!! RIP Phil Harris I have watched this show from the start and Phil and the Cornelia Marie have always been my favorite. The last few episodes have made his death a reality and it's finally sinking in. I cried during the 7/20 episode like I knew the skipper personally. I will miss his infectious laughter the most. Please put up the tribute. Thank you for sharing. Safe passage, Capt Phil. Production questions: Why is this not available in HD? This year's filming has been eyepoppingly great. Hate to miss out in iTunes. Why isn't "Dead or Alive" used as the theme in (at least) the Redemption Day episode? The intro this year has been especially powerful & beautiful. The instrumental is fine, but there's just something about "Dead or Alive" with those images. Bet it has to do with copyright & permissions. oh well. Just ... an amazing show about amazing people.
