Product ok, but dont expect them to consider you later i was a huge fan of Ooma. i recently bought the hub before the Telo came out (a few months before) and now i dont have any of the new features that the Telo is touting. During a press release, they mentioned that Hub users would get all the cool new features (google voice integration, etc) that the Telo got, but now that it's out, they've pulled the carpet from under us users and say we have to pay another $250 for a Telo to get the new features. i see them doing this with every major update so be warned. what they want is you to buy as many of these to get all the features... wow, if apple did that with the iPhone, there would be a revolt. unfortunately, Ooma likes to say one thing and a month down the road, do another. A few days with ooma and I'm impressed! I've had Vonage for 3 years now and decided to try ooma with Amazon's good price + the $40 gift certificate. I opened the package and the ooma is definitely an attractive unit. The slick black box with "touch" buttons and glowing blue looks great when powered on. So setup was simple, especially for Vonage users, because it is identical - internet modem - ooma - wireless router. Once set up, I logged on the Web site and within minutes I was making calls. The Web interface is easy to use and there isn't a whole lot of configuration needed to be up and running. I do have to say the calls have been crystal clear and connect quickly. Sometimes with Vonage, I heard an echo on the line, but no echo with ooma. I do like that the ooma box acts like an answering machine where I can screen calls and listen to voicemail messages directly, or via the phone. The bottom line is that so far I am really impressed. Easy setup, clear calls and no monthly bills!! Rating: 5 (M. Gold, 2010-02-06) Product reviewed: ooma Telo Free Home Phone Service

Excellent Quality - Finally got rid of AT&T! I was so sick of paying AT&T $60/mo for basic phone service, so I decided to go with Ooma. It's great and the quality is excellent. Highly recommended. Rating: 5 (Online Shopper, 2010-02-06) Product reviewed: ooma Telo Free Home Phone Service

Had it a month and like it There are plenty of great reviews so I am not going to be to detailed in mine. It does what it says, you choose a number so people can call you, pick up the phone and you can dial....kinda like a regular phone. Here is some little things I have not seen in other reviews: The ooma box runs a version of linux that has a QOS ("Quality of service) engine that optimizes your phone quality based on bandwidth...so what does that mean? Well if you router has a QOS running also they may not play nice. I ran into a problem where my squeezebox started loosing connectivity when I put my ooma telo behind my router. Took me about a day of research but after changing my configuration and placing my ooma directly after my cable modem (comcast) and then go out of the ooma to the router everything is happy and works great. I would imagine if you have an ATT 2wire modem/router you may need to figure out how to DMZ the ip address your ooma is on to optimize your ooma's performance. Good product! I have been using the Ooma for about two months now. It was fairly easy to set up. The sound quality is good. I switched over to cable internet from DSL and quit my landline telephone service - This thing will pay for itself in no time. Also, I can now afford to call a friend of mine who is working in South Korea as the international rates are affordable (By the way, if you are overseas and have high speed internet, an Ooma would let you call the U.S. for free!). I guess that there is an answering system available through Ooma ... but I just plugged my combination cordless telephone/answering machine into the Ooma and use that ... just like I always did. That is what is nice about the Ooma ... the phone system is just like it always was ... but without the phone bill. Caller I.D. is good, and it is nice to have a "call log" on "My Ooma".
