An authentic design inspired by military and commercial planes and helicopters provides a flying experience that's more realistic and more fun, with important controls that look, feel and work like the real thing. The force feedback joystick allows you to control your aircfraft with confidence as you feel its movement as well as its reaction to air turbulence and g-forces. The dual throttle allows you to precisely control multi-engine aircraft using the split lever. Rudder pedals with toe brakes give you true-to-life control, especially when rudder control is essential such as performing definsive maneuvers and crosswind landings, or piloting helicopters. Interactive, programmable throttle-base buttons integrate with simulation software and illuminate red, green, amber or off to indicate the status of critical aircraft systems, just like they would a real cockpit.

Logitech Flight System G940 Force Feedback Joystick customer reviews:
Nice HOTAS
I am very happy with this settup. There is one thing that I cannot seem to get working properly. That is the toe brakes. They seem to be on all the time if you select them as an axis in IL2 and FSX. I actually have one of the rotary axis selected for breaks now. Rating: (Gregory P. Pathe, 2010-02-06) Product reviewed: Logitech Flight System G940 Force Feedback Joystick
All out flight sim control system.
I am not a professional pilot or hardcore flight sim player. As a intermediate skill player, the amount of controls can be overwhelming. The build quality is very nice and I had no software compatibility issues although the setup was quite rigorous. I wish some of the buttons were a bit more tactile and responsive. The force feedback feels as though it could be a little more powerful and less jerky. The four star review comes from the price. I find it hard to believe that this system can justify a nearly $300 dollar price tag. Maybe the hardcore flight sim players will disagree but that is out of my scope. Rating: (W. Logitech flight system G940
Once set up completely, the Logitech system is great. It has control and feed back, plus all the shortcut keys on the units themselves. I have played with mouse/keyboard and single joysticks before on flight simulators, but with this setup I have more control of the aircraft and less button searching. My only complaint so far is there is not auto set-up...having to configure the complete unit takes time. Don't get me wrong, I like being able to fully customize the controls, but a basic setup would be nice to get used to the controls first before reprogramming the units. First Impressions
I am replacing my Saitek X52 with this system. It was definitely not a plug-n-play, but if you take the time and follow the directions, it sets up very nice! I would recommend downloading the updated program from Logitech rather than using the enclosed setup-dvd...it's a newer version and has some previous bugs worked out of it according to their website. Assigning commands to all the buttons was a breeze with the setup program, and there's plenty of buttons to use, with a few to spare! For FSX users, read the installed PDF file for a few helpful hints on fixing some thing that FSX assigns as default settings (only take an extra 5 minutes to work it out). The hardware itself is well manufactured and sturdy, although the throttle seems a little "gritty" at first, after some time it's getting smoother. The rudder/brake pedals are very cool and the added "teeth" underneath are great for keeping it still on the carpet. The force-feedback is a little hard to get used to, coming from a system without it, but it's growing on me. Every once in a while, when the game is idle, the stick vibrates a little bit. If you touch it it stops...I've read about this from another reviewer. I like the ability to place labels under the buttons on the throttle so i can remember what button does what. I have heard a few gripes about not being able to see the new labels under the "P1" "P2" etc buttons...EASY FIX! When you take the button cover off, the "P1" labels pop out also with a little help from a small screwdriver or knife, making it much easier to see the new labels. Anyway, my first day impression is this, I LIKE IT! It has tons of features and buttons and makes flying a little more realistic now, even helicopters (another complaint I heard previously). If anything changes in the next week or so, I will update this post. Ferg Rating: (Christopher J. Ferguson, 2009-12-23) Product reviewed: Logitech Flight System G940 Force Feedback Joystick
Well made product
I really like Logitech products; I've always found them easy to use, durable and reliable. So it was no surprise that the Flight System G940 was easy to assemble, a great diagram was included for this purpose, and the software was quick and easy to install. The setup included testing out the throttle, joystick, and foot pedals, which is useful to understanding what each does. Also, the online tutorial was fast and quick to show you the components many features and result of use. Out of the box setup, installation and ready for use was under 15 minutes for me as the novice user. Rating: (T.
