The 1213 from Hauppauge is a HVR-2250 Media Center Kit Bundle. It is a PCIe TV Tuner board with dual (two) hybrid tuners. Both tuners have analog and digital reception that allows recording of two channels at the same time. Each tuner has hardware MPEG2 encoding for recording analog channels. Each tuner has ATSC clear QAM for receiving digital cable TV channels. Watch and record two channels of analog cable TV or ATSC high definition (HD) TV on your PC. Comes complete with a Microsoft certified Media Center remote control and receiver.Includes hardware MPEG2 encoders for recording cable TV with Media Center. Compatible with Vista Home Premium or Ultimate and XP Media Center Edition.

Good card - Bad remote
The card is easy to install and use. But don't waste your money on the remote that will not work. There is also no support from the manufacturer. Good two-port card for watching TV on your computer
This card goes into your computer to allow your to watch or record TV (over-the-air, analog cable, or unencrypted digital cable) on your computer. Installation was easy (for the tech-savy; for the non-techies the instructions are very clear). Got it running in Windows Media Center (XP). Sadly, when Comcast shifted to a largely digital signal in our area we lost many of the channels, and haven't found a way to get them back (I refuse to pay for and use the extra set-top boxes needed to decode all the channels, though this card can automatically send the IR control signals needed to operate them). So, not perfect for our situation, but a good card nontheless. Rating: (B. Works Great with Windows 7
Installed with no problems in an HP Elite, AMD Phenom II X4 with 8 gig memory and Win7. Connected to Comcast cable and the WinTV7 software found both the Analog and Digital stations. Integrated perfectly with Windows Media Center for Win 7. Even the Remote worked perfectly. I've been using Win Media Center more then the WinTV7 software since it starts up quicker and I like the integrated scheduler and guide. No HD recording
I bought this so I could watch and record HDTV on my computer. Guess I didn't read the fine print. You can watch HDTV on your computer, but not record HD. Therefore it was no good to me so I sent it back. Cudos to Amazon for their return policy!! Rating: (J. D. Put in a Athlon 64 computer with a ATI X300 video card. Installed driver. was able to see TV programs. Recorded TV programs fine. Can't play back programs because ATI card has no WIN 7 drivers.
